The Clark County Courthouse’s parking lot off West 11th Street will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 29 for tree limb removal, the county announced.
The Clark County Courthouse is located at 1200 Franklin St. Arborists have identified trees on the courthouse campus with dead, dying or broken limbs, a release from the county stated. The lot will be closed for the safety of the public and contractors.
“Broken limbs or those in poor health create a hazard for courthouse and parking lot users, as they are at increased risk of falling unexpectedly,” the release stated.
Clark County Public Works removes hazardous limbs or trees from county properties when they present a risk to users or property, or to neighboring properties. The county reminded residents to avoid work zones and not to enter areas that are closed with cones, signs or caution tape.
