Three injured in accident near Lewisville Regional Park

Three people were transported to the hospital with injuries following a three car accident on state Route 503 near Lewisville Regional Park at around 6:05 p.m. on March 20. 

A Washington State Patrol press memo stated a white Subaru WRX, driven by Ryan T. Jacques, 28, of La Center, was headed southbound on state Route 503 when the car crossed the centerline and struck a 2005 Ford Escape, which was traveling northbound. Jacques then overcorrected, crossed the centerline again and struck a 2011 Ford Explorer, which was also traveling northbound. 

Jacques and his passenger, Alicia M. Avalos, 28, Kelso, were transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, along with Kianalia A. Towle, 25 of Yacolt, who was driving the Ford Explorer. 



The 16-year-old boy driving the Ford Escape, and his passenger James D. Young, 21, of La Center were not injured.

Everyone involved in the accident were wearing their seatbelts, according to the state patrol. Drugs or alcohol were not involved. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
