Meaningful Movies Ridgefield, in recognition of Native American Heritage Month will present “End of the Line: The Women of Standing Rock” at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Old Liberty Theater, 115 N. Main Ave., Ridgefield.
The movie tells the story of a group of indigenous women willing to risk their lives to stop the Dakota Access oil pipeline construction that desecrated their ancient burial and prayer sites and threatens their land, water and very existence, according to a press release.
Tanna Engdahl, spiritual leader of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe, will speak after the film and open a discussion.
The event is free, but donations are appreciated.
