After a 14-0 loss to the Columbia River Rapids Wednesday, April 10, at home, Woodland Beavers baseball head coach Nic Patee said the focus in the second half of the season will be attitude and mindset.

“We have a lot of stuff between the lines that we need to work on — we’ll keep working on that,” Patee said. “But more than anything, the most important thing for them is the mindset.”

The Beavers followed a two-loss skid with a series against the Washougal Panthers on Friday, April 12, resulting in a 17-7 loss and Monday, April 15, with results unavailable before press time. They are slated to play against the Mark Morris Monarchs at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, at home, and at 4:30 p.m., Friday, April 19, on the road in Longview.
