The Washington State University (WSU) Extension and Cowlitz Beekeepers Association will hold beekeepers workshops on Jan. 31, Feb. 7, Feb. 14 and Feb. 21. The workshops are designed to build beekeeping skills. Participants will learn about bee biology, equipment, seasonal management, identification of pests, and honey removal and processing, according to a news release.

The cost for all four sessions is $40, but a family member can be included for free. The course will be held at the Cowlitz County Training Center at 1942 First Ave. in Longview, and will be limited to 30 people. Accommodations will also be made for people with disabilities, but those in need must contact WSU Extension at least two weeks prior to the class.
