Drivers are asked to slow down and use caution when driving on southbound I-5 near Battle Ground during overnight lane closures from April 23-25.
The left two lanes on I-5 between milepost 15 near the Ridgefield Weigh Station and milepost nine near Northeast 179th Street will be closed daily from 3-6 a.m.
Travelers should expect delays as workers perform maintenance and fill cracks in the roadway with melted rubberized material, a Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) press release stated.
The cracks occurred during the winter season’s inclement weather, where water and moisture seeped into the roadway and cracked the pavement. The maintenance work will involve filling existing cracks with a waterproof sealant to prevent further damage.
