Applicants must be either a non-profit organization or public entity within the boundaries of Clark County that will promote the local history. Applicants also must either operate or own a museum or similar historical institution or perform educational, interpretive or similar activities, the release states.

A grant information session for potential applicants will be offered later this summer, date and time to be announced.

The deadline for submitting completed applications is 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15.

“The Historic Preservation Commission will review applications in the fall and submit recommendations to the County Council in November. Grants will be awarded in December and grant funds will be available in January 2024,” according to the release.
