The Battle Ground Education Foundation recently received a grant of $12,000 to offset costs of its 2022 fall fundraiser, Destination Graduation.

The money provided courtesy of Josh Turkington, the general manager of Carr Vancouver Buick/GMC of Vancouver, will free up 100% of the event funds raised so the foundation can directly support students and families of Battle Ground Public Schools, stated a news release.

The foundation oversees and funds programs like the Kids in Need Fund, the Backpack Program, the Family and Community Resource Center, and grants for technology, drama and music.

“We are excited (with) how much more support we can provide to our schools and students with this generous donation,” stated Colleen O’Neil, the co-president of the Battle Ground Education Foundation, in the release.
