Organizations in Battle Ground can now apply for the city's 2027 tourism grant program to help fund events, programs and activities designed to attract visitors and support the local economy.
The grants help fund marketing and operational expenses. Previous awards have supported wayfinding signs, marketing materials and event operations, according to a City of Battle Ground news release.
Applicants must submit a summary of the proposed event or activity, explain how it supports tourism and include a proposed budget outlining how lodging tax funds will be used. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31.
The city's Lodging Tax Advisory Committee will review proposals and recommend funding awards to the Battle Ground City Council for final approval in December. Grant funds are distributed on a reimbursement basis.
