Battle Ground Public Schools is seeking parents, guardians and community members to join its Citizens Advisory Committee, which meets monthly to share community perspectives with district leaders.

Formed in 2021, the committee includes parents, guardians, senior citizens, volunteers and business, municipal and faith-based leaders from across the district, according to a Battle Ground Public Schools news release.

The first two meetings are open to the public and do not require an application or RSVP. Both meetings will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Battle Ground High School media center, 300 W. Main St., Battle Ground.

The Sept. 10 meeting will focus on organizations that support the school district. The Oct. 8 meeting will provide information and answer questions about the student safety and academic support levy.
