The City of Battle Ground is gathering public input on a proposed extension of NW Fifth Street between North Parkway Avenue and state Route 503. The project, in its preliminary engineering phase, aims to alleviate congestion on Main Street by adding a new east-west connection.
Design options for the NW Fifth Street and SR 503 intersection include a signalized intersection, a right-in/right-out turn design and a roundabout. These designs will be analyzed in alignment with Washington state Department of Transportation requirements.
Residents are encouraged to participate in a brief survey to share their travel habits and preferences, which will help shape the project’s development. The survey is available online at cityofbg.org/NW5thStreet or in paper form at City Hall, 109 SW First St. during regular business hours.
The public comment period closes on Dec. 3.
