Battle Ground University opens enrollment, offers governance education

Enrollment is now open for the city of Battle Ground’s civic education program, Battle Ground University (BGU). The free program offers a behind-the-scenes look at city operations.

The course includes five evening classes led by city staff, covering topics such as city administration, finance, public works, community development and public safety. Sessions will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on alternating Tuesdays beginning Sept. 9, a news release by the City of Battle Ground stated.

Classes will conclude Oct. 28, with a graduation ceremony held during the Battle Ground City Council meeting on Nov. 3.



BGU is open to participants 18 and older. Registration is required and will remain open through 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15. Interested residents can apply at cityofbg.org/BGU.
