BGPS announces October employee awards

Battle Ground Public Schools (BGPS) announced its October Employee Recognition Award recipients in an Oct. 28 news release.

The awards highlight district staff members who “embody the district’s values and commitment to student learning,” the release stated. 

The selection criteria include the nominee’s commitment to the school district’s goals of creating a safe, high-quality learning environment with mutual trust and respect between staff and students.

October’s Employee Recognition Award winners are:

• Sharon Gray, First Student bus driver
• Sharon Foster, teacher, Daybreak Primary School
• Nadiya Bodyanska, parent-outreach liaison
• Maria Carbajal, parent-outreach liaison
• Johanna Flores, parent-outreach liaison
• Gleb Velikanov, parent-outreach liaison
