Battle Ground Public Schools (BGPS) is offering two online tools available March 4-18 to gather community input on budget reductions planned for the 2026-27 school year.
Following the failure of its proposed replacement educational programs and operations levy, the district must make budget cuts and is seeking public feedback, according to a school district news release.
Community members can use a budget simulation tool to adjust projected expenses and attempt to balance next year’s budget. A ThoughtExchange survey will also be available, which will allow participants to publicly share ideas and rate feedback submitted by others. The tools will be on the district website at battlegroundps.org.
The BGPS will also host two public listening sessions from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, at Battle Ground High School, located at 300 W. Main St., Battle Ground, and Wednesday, March 11, located at Prairie High School, 11311 NE 119th St., Vancouver.
