Book sales to be held in Woodland and La Center

The Friends of Woodland Community Library will hold a used book sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8 and Saturday, Sept. 9 at the Lewis River Fellowship church, 2000 Lewis River Road.

“We have had many new donations,” a release stated. “In addition to the usual mystery/thrillers and romance books, we have Western, military, young adult, children, home school, fantasy, science fiction, craft and cookbooks.”

The prices for books will vary from $1 to $10, the release added. There will also be DVDs, CDs, audio books and puzzles available to purchase.

The book sales help fund library activities and support the new library. For more information, call 360-225-2294.



La Center

The Friends of the La Center Library is sponsoring a pop-up book sale that will feature fiction, nonfiction and children’s books 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9. 

The prices for books will be $1 for hardback and large paperback books and $.50 for small paperback books. The proceeds will benefit library programs for all ages, a release stated.
