Bridge replacement, dam maintenance to affect Lacamas Regional Park access

Posted

Several trails at Lacamas Regional Park will close beginning in August as crews replace an aging bridge in the northeast corner of the park.

The bridge, located along the park’s main access road, will be replaced to maintain safe access for maintenance vehicles. The bridge will remain open to pedestrians, but trails within the construction area will close during the project, according to a Clark County news release. Visitors must use alternate routes until construction is complete.

Construction is expected to continue through November, though the schedule may change due to weather and other factors. Visitors are asked to stay out of closed areas during construction.

The City of Camas will also conduct maintenance work near the Round Lake dam beginning in September. Trails will remain open, but flaggers will direct visitors when equipment is moving through the area.
