Battle Ground Public Schools (BGPS) announced March 25 that the College Board named CAM Academy a platinum-level AP School, the highest distinction on its Advanced Placement (AP) School Honor Roll.
The platinum-level award places CAM Academy among the top-performing schools nationwide. Of the 5,723 schools honored this year, 8% earned Platinum status. In Washington state, only 7% of qualifying schools reached the platinum tier, according to a BGPS news release.
The College Board recognizes schools that expand access to Advanced Placement courses and support student success. To qualify, schools must meet benchmarks for AP participation, performance and continued enrollment in advanced coursework.
The AP program allows high school students to take college-level courses, earn potential college credit and build skills for future academic and career success.
