With 50 parade entries in the La Center Our Days Twilight Parade, the city opted to enter their float last to conclude the parade as the float packed something new for residents and visitors.
The city of La Center's parade float in the twilight parade had a big surprise to community members on Friday, July 24, with the debut of a new eagle statue featuring the Declaration of Independence.
The statue will be placed in the middle of the roundabout at La Center Road and Fourth Street.
The parade traveled 2 miles through the city of La Center, spanning sunset to nighttime, and featured equestrian groups, dairy farmers, a large jeep club, Miss Washington and more to entertain the families of La Center.
