The Clark College Jazz Bands will bring a vibrant mix of American jazz and Cuban rhythms to their Winter Quarter Concert, to be held at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 8, at the Clark College Gaiser Student Center, located at 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver.
Admission to the performance is free and open to the public, with donations to the Clark College Music Department welcomed at the door, a press release by Clark College stated.
Fresh off their 61st annual Clark College Jazz Festival, the bands are diving into Cuban music in preparation for an upcoming tour in Cuba, the press release stated.
The concert will be directed by Dr. Doug Harris, who has led the Clark College bands since 2018, the release stated. His career includes roles as assistant director of bands at Western Kentucky University and director of bands at Santa Clara and Southern Utah universities.
