The Clark Conservation District’s upcoming annual native plant sale gives gardeners the opportunity to purchase high-quality plants native throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Customers will be able to submit online orders for plugs, bare root and potted plants beginning at 10 a.m., Nov. 28 through the Clark Conservation District’s Plant Sale store clarkcd.org/native-plant-sale.
“The plant sale is a highly anticipated event for residents of Clark County, providing a unique opportunity to purchase a diverse range of native trees, shrubs and forbs,” a release by the district stated. “With a commitment to community education and sustainability, Clark Conservation District aims to inspire and educate individuals on the benefits of planting native plants on their properties.”
Some plants that are available include Oregon iris, Oregon oak, twinberry and 40 others plant species found in the wild areas of the region.
The outside ecosystem benefits from native plants as they stabilize soil conditions, filter water in streams, rivers, ponds and beyond, purify air and support wildlife, according to the district’s website. More information and resources about native plants can be found at clarkcd.org/native-plants.
Plant orders will be available for pickup on Feb. 17, 2024. The release adds that all sales are final.
