The Clark County Auditor’s Office recently received two national awards for financial reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA).

The office earned the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the 2023 fiscal year. It also received the Outstanding Achievement Award for its Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR), a more visual and accessible summary of the county’s financial information, a county news release stated.

This marks the 39th consecutive year the office has received the Certificate of Achievement.

“Financial reporting is another tool to provide transparency and accountability to the public regarding their county government. Our hope is that residents will have confidence that information regarding taxpayer dollars is accurate and easily accessible,” Clark County Auditor Greg Kimsey said in the news release.

Both reports are available on the Auditor’s website at clark.wa.gov/auditor.
