Construction on the Clark County Jail’s J-Pod project continues to advance, with work progressing both inside the building and across the surrounding site, jail officials reported June 30.
According to a Clark County Jail construction update, crews are continuing mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough-in work along interior walls and ceilings. Framing and drywall installation are also ongoing inside the building.
The project recently reached another major milestone with the arrival of prefabricated jail cells, which are expected to be installed as construction continues.
Outside the building, crews are finishing trim work on insulated wall panels and soffit panels. The covered walkway has also been fully erected.
Site work is continuing as well, including installation of high-security fencing, placement of a generator and fuel tank, and construction of new curbs and sidewalks.
Jail officials said the project remains active and that additional updates will be shared as work progresses.
