Clark County lifts burn restrictions

Clark County Fire Marshal Donna Goddard has lifted the ban on outdoor debris burning and recreational fires in unincorporated Clark County, effective Wednesday, Oct. 1.

The county typically enforces a seasonal burn ban from July through September, though dates may vary depending on fire risk. Recent rains and cooler weather have reduced wildfire danger, but residents are urged to remain cautious, a Clark County news release stated.

“We are still experiencing drier than average conditions. Use extreme caution when burning and never leave a fire of any size unattended,” Goddard stated in the release.

Permits are required for yard debris and land-clearing burns. More information and permit applications are available online at shorturl.at/tIwit.
