Clark County Public Health is warning that people may have been exposed to measles after a child with a confirmed case of the virus visited The Vancouver Clinic's Salmon Creek 1 Clinic while contagious.
Potential exposure occurred from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. July 17 at the clinic, located at 2525 NE 139th St., Vancouver. Health officials said the unvaccinated child was contagious during the visit. However, it is unknown where the child was exposed to the virus, according to a Clark County Public Health news release.
People who were at the clinic during that time and have not been vaccinated against measles or previously had the disease should stay home and avoid public places for 21 days after the potential exposure, according to Clark County Public Health. Anyone who develops symptoms should contact a health care provider before visiting a medical office to avoid exposing others.
