Clark County seeks applicants for Railroad Advisory Board

The Clark County Council is seeking applicants to fill up to five positions on the Railroad Advisory Board, a 15-member group that advises the county on issues related to the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad.

Applicants with railroad or railroad-related experience or business experience using freight-rail service are desired. The board meets from 4-5:30 p.m. on the second Monday of each month at the Public Service Center, located at 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver. Or, online via Microsoft Teams, a news release by Clark County stated. 

The Railroad Advisory Board members serve three-year terms. The new volunteer terms are anticipated to begin after Jan. 1, 2025.

People interested in serving should submit a letter of interest and/or resume to PWRailAdvisoryBoard@Clark.wa.gov or by mail at 4700 NE 78th St., Vancouver, WA 98665. The application deadline is 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6.
