Clark County seeks volunteer for Arts Commission seat

Posted

Clark County is accepting applications to fill an open seat on the Clark County Arts Commission for a resident living in unincorporated Clark County. The volunteer term begins immediately and lasts two years.

The Arts Commission is composed of 11 members. Each Clark County city participating in the commission appoints one member, and the county manager appoints three members representing the arts, education and business communities. The commission meets at 5 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month, a Clark County news release stated.

The commission advises and collaborates with the county and city councils on community projects that support local arts. Members also advocate for the arts at public hearings, budget meetings and other public forums.

Applicants should submit a letter of interest and résumé to Jake Goodwin in the County Manager’s Office, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666-5000, by 5 p.m., Friday, Nov. 14. Submissions may also be emailed to jake.goodwin@clark.wa.gov
