Clark County seeks volunteers for Law and Justice Council

The Clark County Council is seeking applicants for five newly added seats on the Clark County Law and Justice Council.  

The Law and Justice Council was established to help coordinate local criminal justice activities and to develop a community corrections plan for local and state corrections services in the county.

The Clark County Council has reorganized the Clark County Law and Justice Council to include the following representatives:

  • Battle Ground municipal court
  • A substance abuse treatment provider
  • A mental health provider
  • A school superintendent or a representative of a school district or ESD112 within Clark County
  • The Cowlitz Tribe

Residents throughout Clark County are encouraged to apply. Meetings are currently scheduled for 8 a.m. on the second Thursday of every month in-person, on the sixth floor of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Suite 680, Vancouver, and online via WebEx.  

To apply, submit a brief letter of interest, résumé and any letters of recommendation to Michelle Pfenning, County Manager’s Office, PO Box 5000, Vancouver 98666-5000. Applications can also be emailed to michelle.pfen ning@clark.wa.gov.  

Application deadline is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8.
