Clark County’s Composter Recycler program is offering a free eight-week certification training for residents interested in low-waste living and sustainability.
Classes will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. beginning Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Waste Connections of Washington, 9411 NE 94th Ave., Vancouver. Applications for the Composter Recycler Certification program are available online at shorturl.at/yJ1BM.
Participants will be certified Composter Recycler volunteers who will share their education at community events throughout the year upon program completion, a news release by Clark County stated.
The program teaches participants backyard composting, vermicomposting, recycling, sustainable living, green cleaning and more, the Clark County Composter Recycler website stated.
Class participants will qualify for a free compost bin, worm bin, bokashi bin and green cleaning kit. Participants will also tour the transfer station and participate in composting field trainings, the release stated.
