Clark County urges visitors to use other parks when Moulton Falls parking fills

Clark County Public Works is reminding visitors to use designated parking areas — or choose another park when crowds fill Moulton Falls Regional Park during hot weather.

The county issued the reminder as warm weather continues to draw residents to parks with river access.

Moulton Falls, a popular destination near Yacolt, can become crowded on busy days, with parking lots filling quickly as visitors head to the water.

Clark County Public Works is asking park users not to park along Northeast Lucia Falls Road in areas marked with no parking or tow-away zone signs. Updated signs have been posted in the area to remind visitors where parking is prohibited.

“Hot weather draws us all to the water,” Clark County Public Works stated in a social media post. “Parks with river access can get crowded.”

The county advised visitors to park only in a designated parking lot. If no parking spaces are available at Moulton Falls, visitors should go to a different park rather than parking illegally along the road.

Nearby parks with water access include Lewisville Regional Park, Battle Ground Lake State Park and Daybreak Regional Park.

County officials said the reminder is intended to help manage overcrowding, keep roads clear and maintain safe access for drivers, pedestrians and emergency vehicles during the busy summer season.
