Clark Skamania Flyfishers to host class at Clark College

Clark Skamania Flyfishers is offering an introductory course on fly fishing from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on Saturday, April 26, at Clark College in the Gaiser Hall, located at 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver.

The class is beginner friendly and open to all ages. Host Peter Anderson will discuss fly fishing fundamentals, including casting mechanics, essential gear, water safety and how to identify fishing spots. Participants will also learn about local fly fishing locations, a news release by Clark Skamania Flyfishers stated.

The class will also offer hands-on casting instruction, taught by volunteer instructors, the Clark Skamania Flyfishers website stated. Students may bring their own tackle or use equipment provided by the instructor.

Registration is available online at shorturl.at/iUqBJ and is $50 per person, which includes lunch and refreshments.
