Clark County is accepting nominations for its 2025 Disability Employment Awareness Month Awards, which recognize local individuals and businesses that support and promote inclusive employment.
Awards will be given in five categories: large and small employers of people with developmental or intellectual disabilities, an employee with a developmental or intellectual disability, and two service awards for outstanding contributions to disability employment, a news release by Clark County stated.
Winners and nominees will be recognized during a celebration from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Clark College, located at 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver.
The annual awards coincide with National Disability Employment Awareness Month in October and aim to highlight the contributions of individuals with disabilities in building a strong and diverse workforce.
Nominations are due by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1. Forms and additional details are available online at shorturl.at/KKWy2. For questions or sponsorship information, contact Emily Harris at emily@gowise.org or 503-750-9776.
