Clark County is seeking applicants interested in government and educational television access and television franchising to fill a position on the volunteer city/county Telecommunications Commission. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10.
The unfinished three-year term will begin immediately and end May 31, 2027, a Clark County news release stated.
The commission serves as an advisory group to the County Council and the City of Vancouver on matters related to cable television and telecommunications issues. The commission also makes reports, monitors compliance with cable franchise agreements and establishes regulations regarding telecommunications, the news release stated.
The Telecommunications Commission meets at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesdays twice a year in a hybrid format at Vancouver City Hall, 415 W. Sixth St., Vancouver.
