The body recovered July 8 near an island in the Columbia River, between Kalama and Woodland, has been identified.
Cowlitz County Coroner Dana Tucker reports the remains of Michael Gilley, 41, of St. Helens, were recovered by Martin Island.
Tucker said an autopsy was performed, but the cause and manner of death are pending further investigation.
