Ballots for the February special election are now in the mail, as the deadline to register to vote approaches.

The only North Clark County measure on the ballot is for those in the Woodland Public Schools district. That vote is for the replacement of an expiring local levy.

If a voter in the district does not receive their ballot by Thursday, Feb. 2, they are asked to contact the Clark County Elections Office to request a replacement ballot by phone at 564-397-2345 or by email at elections@clark.wa.gov.

“Although replacement ballots may be requested in person at the elections office, staff encourages voters to request a replacement by email or by phone,” a release from the county stated.

The last day to submit new voter registrations and voter updates to existing registrations online or by mail is 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 6, the release stated. Voters may still register and update their existing voter registrations after Feb. 6, but must do so in person by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 14. The elections office is located at 1408 Franklin St., Vancouver. It is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on election day on Feb. 14.

The process to begin the production of election results will begin at 7:15 p.m. on election day. The first results will be posted online at clarkvotes.org by 8:15 p.m.

An online voters’ guide and a sample ballot listing the ballot measures in the February election are also available online at the clarkvotes.org website, the release stated.
