A female victim succumbed to her injuries after emergency personnel responded to a collision on Wednesday, March 19, in Battle Ground.
The traffic accident occurred in the afternoon on Southwest 20th Avenue, just south of Main Street, after one of the vehicles involved was exiting onto southbound Southwest 20th Avenue from a private driveway when it was struck by a second vehicle, also traveling southbound on Southwest 20th Avenue, according to a news release by the Battle Ground Police Department.
Once investigators cleared the scene hours later, one of the victims, an adult female, had succumbed to her injuries after being transported to an area hospital.
Deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit are assisting the Battle Ground Police Department with the investigation.
A portion of Southwest 20th Avenue, between West Main Street and Southwest Second Street, remained closed for multiple hours while police investigated the incident.
