Firearms, drugs seized in La Center following investigation

Law enforcement seized unlawfully possessed weapons and drugs after they served a search warrant on a residence in La Center on April 14 following a firearms trafficking and controlled substance distribution investigation.

During the search, the Vancouver Police Neighborhood Response Team (NRT), with assistance from the Safe Streets Task Force and the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Detective Unit, found 11 unlawfully possessed firearms, which included one stolen rifle, two sawed off shotguns and one sawed off rifle.

A news release stated over two pounds of methamphetamine, approximately 5,000 fentanyl pills, cocaine, crack cocaine, body armor, documents related to fraud and other items of evidence related to the Vancouver-based investigation were recovered.

Noah Sandoval, 41, was arrested and booked into the Clark County Jail for 11 counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, one count of possession of a stolen firearm, three counts of possession of a short-barreled shotgun/rifle, three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent, and manufacturing a controlled substance.

The investigation is ongoing, stated the release.
