Clark County Fire District No. 13 Division Chief Chuck Andrus, right, along with crews from North Country EMS, Clark County Fire District No. 13 and Clark County Fire District No. 10, presented four Citizen Life Saving Awards to (right to left) Michelle Brannan, Eric Hemphill, Jeb Uskoski (not pictured) and Levi Falander (not pictured) at the Clark County Fire District #13 and North Country EMS Health and Safety Fair, Saturday, July 29. These residents were awarded for their life-saving actions on June 6, 2023. ‘Their immediate and decisive actions, without regard for their own personal safety, undoubtedly saved the life of another citizen who was being actively attacked by a large bull,” Andrus said in a release. “Jumping into action, these citizens put themselves between this enraged animal, rescued the children present and defended the injured and incapacitated subject on the ground until first responders arrived. The injured citizen was Life Flighted for further care, and thanks to the quick-thinking and exceptional actions of these heroes, the injured subject survived his injuries and is on the road to recovery.
