Five longtime Ridgefield School District employees are retiring after contributing more than 150 combined years of service to local students, families and staff.
The district recognized the retirees in a June 17 social media post as the school year came to a close, thanking them for decades of work in Ridgefield schools and district offices.
This year’s retirees include Sharon Floyd, of Union Ridge Elementary School, with 30 years of service; Jody McDonald, of Union Ridge Elementary School, with 30 years; Dorothy Roth, of Sunset Ridge Intermediate School and View Ridge Middle School, with 29.5 years; Jodi Fontyn, of Central Services, with 32 years; and Tiffany Gould, of Central Services, with 30 years.
District officials said the five employees helped support generations of students and colleagues through their commitment, compassion and professionalism.
Each retiree played a role in helping the district provide educational opportunities for students, according to the district. Their work also helped shape Ridgefield schools and strengthen the broader school community.
The district thanked the retirees for their years of dedication and wished them well as they begin retirement.
