Furry Friends cat rescue is accepting donations for its annual dinner and auction fundraiser, with all proceeds supporting cat rescue efforts, medical care and the construction of a new veterinary facility.
This year’s “Nightmeow Before Catmas”-themed dinner and auction will take place from 4:30 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 18, at Royal Oaks Country Club, 8917 NE Fourth Plain Blvd., Vancouver, a press release by Furry Friends stated.
The evening will feature a live and silent auction, raffles, games, contests and dinner. Tickets include appetizers, a plated entrée, a drink ticket and access to bidding. A virtual auction will run concurrently from 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, through 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20.
Donations of auction items and desserts are being accepted for the event. Desserts for the Dessert Dash should serve 10 people and be delivered by Oct. 17.
Furry Friends is a volunteer-run, nonprofit cat rescue serving Vancouver and surrounding areas. The group rehomes up to 800 cats annually, many rescued from hoarding situations that require extensive medical care and socialization, the release stated.
