Furry Friends, a Vancouver-based cat rescue, will host its annual garage sale to raise funds for feline medical care, including spays and neuters.
The sale will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, at the American Legion, located at 4607 NE St. James Road, Vancouver.
Garage sale donations can be dropped off between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the American Legion on Friday, April 25. While most items are welcome, the organization requests no excessive glassware, heavily used or damaged items, smoke-affected goods, or used litter pans or cat trees. Clothing should be clean and in good condition, a press release by Furry Friends stated.
This year, the nonprofit expects to perform over 750 spay and neuter surgeries, with an estimated cost of $50,000 or more. Proceeds will help reduce the local stray cat population and provide vital care, the press release stated.
