Beth Marie Marshall passed away peacefully on Feb. 23, 2023, at the age 82. She was preceded by her husband, Richard C. Marshall in 2016. They were happily married for 22 years.
Beth was born on Aug. 10, 1940, to Charles Edward and Ruth Marie Neuman in Pasadena, California. She graduated from high school in 1958, graduated from California State University, and continued to pursue a degree in music at Portland State University.
Beth is survived by her sister Carol Teagle of Salem, Oregon; children, Ron Jones of Bonney Lake, Washington, and Karen Stanning of Yacolt, Washington; stepdaughter Cathy Blackwell of Brush Prairie, Washington; stepson Richard Marshall of Camas, Washington; and stepdaughter Erika Marshall of Camas, Washington. She was very blessed to have 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren as well who all loved her dearly.
Music was Beth’s passion and she brought joy to many as a music teacher at Yacolt Primary School for over 20 years. She loved her students and parents alike, and was always happy to break into song on any occasion.
Services will be held at the Ridgefield Community United Methodist Church at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Music Ministry with Ridgefield Community United Methodist Church or by mail to P.O. Box 446, Ridgefield, Washington, 98642, an organization very dear to her heart.
