In Loving Memory of Darrold Baker: 1960-2025

Darrold Marlon Baker Junior of North Bend, Washington, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, at the age of 65 after a long battle with cancer. He was born to Darrold Baker Senior and Mavis (Patterson) Baker. He grew up in Yacolt, Washington, and spent most of his life in North Bend, Washington. He graduated from Battle Ground High School and had a career as a popular salesman. He liked meeting new people and was a good friend to many. He loved sports, raced motorcycles at Washougal racetrack, played baseball, and was a fan of NASCAR.

He loved hiking with his son on Mount Si and tossing the football together, and enjoyed golfing with his daughter, Tate. His father, Darrold Baker Senior, preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother, Mavis Baker; sister, Audrey Courser (Jeff); brother, Clinton Baker (Cathy); his son, Austin Baker of Phoenix, Arizona; and daughter, Tate Baker of North Bend, Washington. He was very proud of his children. He is also survived by his former wife, Konnie Baker, mother of Tate Baker.

A celebration of life will be held at Nick’s Bar and Grill, 22011 NE 399th St., Amboy, Washington, on Saturday, Sept. 6, at 1 p.m., where loved ones will gather to share stories, music and memories in his honor.
