David was a beloved, devoted and wonderful son, brother, friend, husband, father, uncle and grandfather. David is survived by his sister, Kathryn, of California; brother, Dean, of California; cousin, Wes, of Arizona; and his wife, Trisha, with whom he shared 32 years of marriage. He is also survived by his children, Amber (from Trisha’s previous marriage), Stephanie, Alexandria, Nathaniel and Savannah Ann. David’s pride and joys were his amazing grandchildren, Aiden, Sophia, Ryder and Ethan.
David had a wonderful life that was cut too short. He enjoyed gardening, the Clark County Fair Mounted Patrol, 4-H horses with his daughters, fishing, camping, going to the beach, traveling, computer gaming and watching football. He participated in the Boy Scouts with his son, who earned his Eagle Scout Award — a very proud moment. He also enjoyed helping with children’s charity groups, antique sales and sharing his porcelain Christmas village with anyone who wanted to see it. David loved taking “walkabouts” (long drives) and most recently enjoyed new adventures riding their trike motorcycle with his wife.
David was a salesman for 50 years. Over his career, he sold everything from eyewear, clothing, pumps and electronics/technology to industrial piping. David often said, “I work for the customer but get paid by the company.” His wife always said David was not “a sneaky, snaky, slimy salesman.” He truly loved his job and valued his customers. The family believes David learned this philosophy from his father, who was a Ford salesman for 35½ years. David made many friends who became like family, which brought him great happiness. David retired in June 2025, a milestone he was extremely excited about.
David had been blessed by the Lord to return to him through baptism with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As his wife was ill at the time, David completed his spiritual journey largely on his own, which the family considered a true blessing.
David is deeply loved by all of his family. He made friends wherever he went and was known for being charming, analytical, funny and very charismatic. David will be deeply and truly missed by all of his family and friends, near and far, who were grateful to have known him.
Lovingly,
Trisha Lusher and family
