In Loving Memory of Diana Lou Fineran: 1945-2026

Diana Lou Fineran, age 80, of Battle Ground, WA, passed away on 7/8/2026 after a period of declining health. Diana was born on 12/25/1945 in Rice Lake, WI, to Earl and Leona Frommader. She spent her life dedicated to her animals and her family. Having lived in Wisconsin, Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, and finally Washington, she got to see and experience many local cultures throughout the USA. She was known for her considerable knowledge of Arabian horses, cat breeds, and dog breeds. She was the founder of the Traditional Cat Association, Inc. (1987–2026). She authored the book The Traditional Siamese Cat and the Classic Siamese Cat – A Complete History of the Breed. She loved travel (U.S., SE Asia, Europe, South Pacific), snowmobiling, snow and water skiing, crocheting, gardening, canning, and cooking. She touched many lives through her caring concern for others and for animals. She is survived by her husband, John; sister, Nancy Frommader Walsh; three nieces, a nephew, and many cousins. Cremation has taken place.

A private memorial service to celebrate and honor Diana's life will be held at her home in Battle Ground, WA.
