Diann Hokanson, a resident of Woodland, Washington, passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the age of 85. Diann
was born December 23, 1940, in La Center, Washington, to Charles Howard Backman and Clydia Rowena Johnson. She attended school in La Center.
She is survived by her husband, Darin; three children, Ray Hokanson of Battle Ground, Eila Kenslow of Vancouver, and Zane Hokanson of Woodland; 11 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Diann was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Woodland ward and a knitting guild. She loved to share her
knitting talents with friends, family and charitable organizations.
Diann also used her talents while working as a seamstress at Jantzen. Through her service in church and community organizations, she touched
many lives and will be dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at the Woodland LDS building, 281 Insel Rd. Burial will be in the La
Center cemetery.
