Gaylord Harry Griffin, 91, died Sept. 6, 2023, at home in Sedro Woolley. He grew up in Skagit County and moved to Clark County and resided in Yacolt and Vancouver before returning to Skagit County 14 years ago.
He served in the National Guard. Gaylord went on to work in the grocery business for 41 years and enjoyed gardening, thrift shopping and woodworking.
He saw life as good memories of the past, and the future was one day at a time. "Live life to the fullest and tomorrow will take care of itself. You can't predict what will happen in the future."
Gaylord is survived by his sons, Gary Curry and Gregg Griffin; two daughters, Gayle Liberatore and Geri Ries; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
His family will have a private service. You can honor his memory by donating to the American Kidney Fund.
