With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gwen Jones, a cherished sister, on Jan. 28, 2025, at the age of 83.
She was born in Spokane County, Washington, on June 20, 1941, to her adoptive parents, Evan L. and Bernice L Jones. Gwen attended Battle Ground schools from the first through the 12th grade, graduating in 1959.
She spent a career working in the banking industry for 30-plus years, starting with the Bank of California in Seattle and retiring from the Union Bank of Cal in Portland.
She was passionate about genealogy and tracked family back many generations. She will be deeply missed by her siblings, Richard Jones (Beth) and Robert Jones (Vivian, deceased); several nieces; one nephew; and numerous friends.
A graveside service and celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. March 22 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 1101 NE 112th Ave., Vancouver, Washington.
