Posted

Janice Boehm passed away peacefully on Sept. 26, 2025, at the age of 84.

Born on Jan. 29 in Mandan, North Dakota, Janice, affectionately known as Mom and Grandma, devoted her life to her family with unwavering love, strength and grace. Her home was a place of welcome for family and friends alike, filled with the aroma of home-cooked meals, the comfort of heartfelt conversation and the reassurance that everything would be OK. Guided by her heart, Janice was passionate, caring, generous and selfless — always serving others and embracing both life’s joys and challenges with grace. She loved her Blazers, working for UPS, doing jigsaw puzzles and especially her desserts.

Her legacy of wisdom and love continues through her family, each of whom was blessed by her warmth and steady presence. Her spirit will live on through the lifetime of memories she created that are stitched with laughter, stories and unconditional love.

She is survived by her significant other, Ralph Rowe; and her six children and their spouses: Cindy Boehm; Gaylene (Glenn Salvagno); Shelly (Rick Lasher); Deanne (Mike Clark); Jackie (Bryan Vasbinder); and Henry (Sandra Boehm). She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Henry Boehm; her sister, Annette Hanson; infant sister, Paulette; and her beloved parents.

A celebration of Janice’s life will be held Sunday, Oct. 26, from 1 to 3 p.m. at 22207 NE 21st Court, Ridgefield, Washington. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and share in remembering the remarkable woman she was.

“Her hands may have been tired, but her heart never was.”

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or the American Heart Association.
