Jeannette Ely passed away peacefully at home on the morning of April 7, surrounded by love. A longtime resident of Vancouver, Washington, and later Battle Ground, Jeannette was known for her vibrant spirit, kind heart and unmistakable purple hair—often seen brightening up her favorite local grocery stores in Battle Ground.
In her younger years, Jeannette loved to travel with her husband, creating memories and exploring new places together.
Jeannette was the kind of person who left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her warmth, compassion and boundless love for her family were at the core of who she was. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—appreciating nature, visiting the beach and spending precious time with those she held dear.
She is survived by her devoted daughter and son-in-law, her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom will forever cherish her memory. Jeannette’s legacy of love and kindness lives on in each of them.
Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will always be with us. Our love for her knew no bounds.
Burial service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
