In Loving Memory Of Lorraine Spurling 1937 ~ 2023

Posted

Lorraine Roberta Spurling passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Sept. 14, 2023.

She was born on June 17, 1937, to Robert and Alice Cresap of Battle Ground, Washington. Lorraine grew up in downtown Battle Ground, where her father owned several businesses over the years. The family later moved to a farmstead on the outskirts of town. She attended Battle Ground High School and graduated in 1955.

Creative and artistic, Lorraine explored painting and other decorative arts, and enjoyed designing and decorating her homes. She was also a passionate gardener. Being a “can-do” person, she both designed and constructed an expansive English-style garden on her property.

Lorraine is preceded in death by her brothers Kenneth and Vernon. She is survived by her sister Arlene Osborn, daughter Pamela Jennett, son Clark, and nieces, nephews and grandchildren—many of whom came to Lorraine for nutrition and gardening advice.

A celebration of her life will be held Oct. 1, 2023, at The Red Cross Building at the Historic Reserve (605 Barnes St. at Fort Vancouver) from noon to 4 p.m.
